Alien cards
My “Take me to your Dealer” poster became an iconic image of the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
It has sold tens of thousands of copies if not 100’s of thousands and has been copied countless times over.
It is still for sale on the web in it’s various guises as poster, card, T shirt, mousemat, stash tin, pin badge, sticker, etc etc.
The idea was suggested to me by GB Posters and they printed the first run that was subsequently reprinted over and over.
It was then bought by Raven in the States and took on a whole new life on their merchandise.
It has also spawned a whole new batch of ideas and images for me and the alien theme lives on.
Mandalas
Magic Mushrooms and exploding sun mandalas. Ought to be the Seventies but they were released in fact in 2005.
Cosmic Zoo
A series of psychedelic creatures to grace any diamante studded iPhone!
ABC’s 123’s
52 mini hard backed magnetic board books each with five colour illustrations, were commissioned by Softplay in America.
I had real fun working against a very tight deadline to turn around these bright, colourful and fun little books.
Swiss Union
The national Swiss Seafarer’s union ITF were amalgamating with the Road Transport Unions and needed a new logo update to reflect this marriage.
They traditionally had used shipping rope as a symbol of unity and strength and I updated the motif to reflect this new pairing.
Froggielaw
Out of the blue I was contacted by the amazing frog-loving, Hawaiian lawyer, Valentina Watson.
Valentina asked if I could design her a new logo featuring of all things, … a frog.
Of course I could, and I did!
Wally
Wally Woppapotamus lives on the moon Titan.
I’ve illustrated both Helen Bonney’s wonderful stories about Wally’s adventures on Titan and as he travels ‘back in time’ to earth.
The Woppapotamus from Titan.
Wally meets the Children of World.
You can find out all about Wally HERE.
Owls cover
I was lucky enough to get the job of illustrating special christmas covers of the Sheffield Wednesday football programme. This was when they were ‘premiership’ or as then called – League Division One.
Lucky, as I was a lifetime fan. I still am.
Olis Mag
Back cover and inside feature.
New Socialist
I’m immensely proud of this graphic. I thought long and hard about how to depict the ‘swords into ploughshares’ issue and I’m happy that I arrived at a new and striking original idea.
TAO magazine
My poster artwork featured on the cover of Empty Vessel magazine.
Web User
Font cover and inner illustration of ice for the magazine Web User.
It asked for text carved from solid ice.
